Benchmark Human Capital Places AOL Executive as Chief Revenue Officer at BDMetrics

Benchmark Human Capital, the pioneer in performance-based executive search, today announced that it has placed AOL executive Dan Fowler as Chief Revenue Officer at BDMetrics, Inc. Previously, Mr. Fowler was Senior Vice President of Sales at AOL Media Networks.

BDMetrics is the market-leading platform for turning communities of interest into commerce with over 50 of the top trade shows and associations as customers including the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) and the Cellular Telecommunications Industry Association (CTIA). The company is VC-backed by Valhalla Venture Partners and Greenhill Ventures.

BDMetrics selected Benchmark Human Capital (Benchmark) as their preferred executive search firm based on the firm’s unique value proposition, ability to really understand BDMetrics’ business, vast network of executive relationships and reputation for landing A+ players for clients.

“Benchmark’s performance based business model lowers the barriers to working with an executive search firm by putting the onus on themselves to produce results to earn their fees – and they deliver,” said Rick Geritz, CEO, BDMetrics. “Thanks to the breadth and depth of their network and their expert advice we were able to find and close an outstanding candidate for our very specific needs.”

Benchmark’s performance-based engagement model is unique to the retained executive search industry.  The traditional approach requires significant retainers and financial guarantees before any work is done.  Benchmark’s model includes a modest retainer with the majority of fees earned when the search is complete. Through a proven methodology, a deep understanding of the client’s needs, a thorough research process, and a significant network of trusted executives, Benchmark brings the right talent to the table fast.

Benchmark applies the same professional approach to interactions with candidates—providing counsel and support to ensure a smooth process every step of the way, from the very first discussion to final negotiations.

“I was impressed with Benchmark’s attention to detail during the entire process,” said Dan Fowler, chief revenue officer, BDMetrics. “Not only were they extremely responsive but they also provided thoughtful dialog and strategic advice along the way, making sure this was a positive and fruitful experience on both sides of the table.”

“We were very pleased to handle this search for BDMetrics as they continue to grow their business,” said Peter G. Bianco, managing partner and CEO, Benchmark Human Capital. “Based on our years of experience in executive search, we believe that the traditional model of retained search is broken. Organizations shouldn’t be backed into a corner before they turn to a high-impact executive search firm. We’ve created a new approach and we’ve made it a success based on the fact that we only take on searches we are confident we can complete and that we know ‘A’ players, like Dan Fowler, want.”
